You don't even know what your talking about. First off Sour Cynic, I SAID JUST GET TO THE FINALS! Flip Mr Softy Saunders can't even get to the big dance. THAT'S THE POINT YOU BASKETBALL-RETARD!

Just get to the damn dance!

Second, replace Joe with who? Give me the names of GM'S out there looking for A job who has 6 eastern conference championships appearances, 2 NBA Finals appearances, NO MAX Salary Players, Executive of the year and is willing to come to the Detroit Pistons without breaking the pockets of the new owner? WHO? WHO? WHO?

You are so stupid.... that you will cry for Joe to be fired but please find somebody to replace him who is just as qualified or more qualified as he is. WHO? WHO? Tell me please who? Give me names?

Damn! Who? WHO? Give me A FUCKING NAME PLEASE!!? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? Give me A fucking name? WHO? WHO? WHO?

No more fucking fantasy talk. Let's talk real shit for 1 time in your life SOUR CYNIC! WHO? WHO? WHO? WHO? Tell me A name? WHO? WHO? WHO?

Give me 5 name right now? WHO WHO WHO WHO???

YOU CRY ALL DAY EVERYDAY! WHO? WHO? Can I get 5 name PLEASE!!! And they better have done what Joe has done? WHO? WHO? WHO? FUCKING WHO? Give me names And I will respect your bitching and crying all day everyday. WHO??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

More of this same tired arguement of an excuses. Joe didn't have those credential before he was hire and who's to say his replacement wouldn't surpass what he accomplished. Maybe the next GM Triples what Joe has done, I told you Pee Boy your a kiss ass retard without a brain for reasoning. And that goes for everyone that makes that stupid arguement to keep Joe.

I would like to think you have enough sense to know that jsut because you haven't doesn't mean you can't. Are you can't be president if you never been a president? you can become an actor if you nevered acted? Think about before you reply dum dum. Who to say that whomever Joe is replaced with won't do better other than all you butt sucking cheerleaders?

24. Joe Dumars, Pistons
Hired: 2000

Coaches: George Irvine (2000-2001), Rick Carlisle (2001-2003), Larry Brown (2003-2005), Flip Saunders (2005-2008), Michael Curry (2008-2009), John Kuester (2009-present)

Long-term plan: Rebuild while staying competitive. In other words, an oxymoron, unless you have a superstar, which he doesn't.

Key Draft picks: Darko Milicic (2nd, 2003), Greg Monroe (7th, 2010), Rodney White (9th, 2001), Rodney Stuckey (15th, 2007), Tayshaun Prince (23rd, 2002), Jonas Jerebko (39th, 2009)

Key trades

■2002: Traded Jerry Stackhouse and Brian Cardinal to the Wizards for Rip Hamilton, Hubert Davis and Bobby Simmons.
■2004 season: Traded Chucky Atkins, Lindsey Hunter, Bob Sura and a first-round pick to the Hawks and Celtics for Mike James and Rasheed Wallace
■2008 season: Traded Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess to the Nuggets for Allen Iverson's expiring contract
Key free agent signings: Re-signing Billups (2007), Wallace (2005) and Prince (2007). Rip Hamilton in 2008 (three years, $38 million beginning in 2009/10), Ben Gordon in (five years,$55 million), Charlie Villanueva in 2009 (five years, $35 million).

Key free agents let go: Grant Hill (2000), Ben Wallace (2006).

It pains me to put Joe Dumars, the architect of the Pistons teams of the 2000s, this low. However, Dumars has been a disaster since the Chauncey Billups/Allen Iverson trade. Dumars made the deal to regain salary-cap flexibility to rebuild a team that has run it's course, but ended up spending that money on Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva and a re-signed, declining Rip Hamilton. He's refused to deal any of his other big-contract players like Tayshaun Prince because he legitimately thinks his team can and should be "competitive" when rebuilding.

That's the problem, though -- you can be "competitive" without major salary obligations to declining players. Dumars, like many of the GMs behind him on this list, fundamentally misunderstands this. I'm not sure why Dumars refuses to take the long-term approach. Sure, their arena is empty, but it seems they have a core of dieharts that are willing to wait around for a long-term rebuilding project. It's not like Dumars is in a city like Charlotte, where the team desperately needs the revenue from home playoff games.

Therefore, the only explanation for Dumars' recent issues is that he must believe that, because he built a "star-less" core earlier, he can do it again. Newsflash Joe: you probably can't. Lightning doesn't strike in the same spot twice.
facepalm

You see PBoy I wanted to show that Joe sucks so I post the above showing how the clown ranks 24th amongst GM's I actaully thought it would be worse.

FORUM - Page 40 Empty JOE SUCKS

Post  WTF Mon Apr 23, 2012 3:54 pm

Joe Dumars with Allen Iverson

Gregory Shamus/Getty Images What is the Detroit Pistons' plan for the future?

After years of winning at the beginning of the new century, the Detroit Pistons have been struggling to stay afloat within the weak Eastern Conference and are stuck in NBA purgatory, a spot every association dreads. Instead of going into a full rebuilding effort, the Pistons are too worried about staying competitive in the present.

By signing veteran role players to keep this team out of contention for the high lottery picks in NBA drafts, the Pistons have essentially locked themselves in as a mediocre squad of the future.

General Manager Joe Dumars is to blame for the Detroit Pistons' roster problems, as he is the one orchestrating all of these debilitating trades and free agent signings. After years of being considered one of the brightest, young general managers in the league, as he acquired the ridiculously talented starting five of Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace, Dumars has found his stock fall from consecutive bad investments.

Since the latest Pistons' glory days, only two prospects have panned out in center Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey. In addition, Dumars signed Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon to cumbersome contracts that are worth a combined $90 million just three years ago.

The Detroit Pistons may have to give Joe Dumars the oust to get back on the right path to relevancy. However, there has been no news lately regarding his status with the franchise.

Post  Grizz2 Mon Apr 23, 2012 10:18 pm

Havent seen the game .. just boxscore watching while at work .. but .. seeing Monroe getting more shots .. and Mackline playing ... makes Frank seem less stupid or a better coach .. and .. the proof is in the score at least being close against a very good Pacer team ...

9th spot it is... this game was a poster for the type of player needed... rebounding and inside defender.

Since we're 3+ years without a trade we need to take a poll on when the next trade will happen... I'll go with June 28th (date of the draft)

3 Indiana starters rested for this game and we still coulnt win .. Some good moves in getting Monroe more shots and playing Macklin .. but .. cannot be hyped on Frank if he cannot take this team down 3 starters and win the game .. Frank will likely coach next year but no one should be excited about it ..

FORUM - Page 40 Empty REAL TALK

Wise Fan, that was an absolutely awesome chronology of the lucky man called "Jelly Joe." With that type of brain power why waste it frustrating yourself trying bring the lost up to the level of frothing from the mouth idiot?

Phillip Boy, don't you think that Bill Laimbeer deserves the same chance Dumars had to run this franchise? He would come in better equipted, background and experience wise, than Joe was. Joe was just liked by the owner! If you want a "name," how about Jerry West? If he can go to Memphis why can't Tom Gores get him to come to Detroit? Mr. Gores may like Laimbeer, or already have a sound relationship with West from California; ever think of that?

Grizz, all I can say is, it was sad. The box score don't tell the real story; half of those "shots" by Monroe were put-backs of missed shots of others, and Lil' Larry's coaching leaves a great deal to be desired. He's one hell of a politician, and that's it. If he coached like he politics, we'd be in good shape, but alas, our search will continue.

Merc, I'm with you....draft night is the latest/earliest a trade will be made. A trade really is a must by then.

With the way we arrived at the 9th spot this year one thing is certain, we've got the spare parts to acquire additional draft picks this year to vastly improve our rebuild efforts. Mid to late first rounder, and an early second rounder anyone?

Kevin Pritcher, Bill Lamibeer, Magic, Larry Brown, Chris Mullins, Phil Jackson and any other human not name Joe Dumars. I told you once all your analogies are stupid and WTF is a Air Plain Thank God I'm not at your level since I passed 1st grade some 40 years ago. Anybody with a half of brain knows not trade to CB and not to sign Ben Gordon and Charlie what makes Joe so special other than you like sniffing his drawers?

Did you already have janitorial experience before Joe hired you to clean toilets at the fieldhouse or did you start from the bottom up? Did Joe have experience before being hired as GM of the Pistons?

You're right Pee Boy no point in debating because you're stupid, If the pilot can fly or the surgeon went to medical school and umpire can see who give a shit if it their first time or not, even though none that crap has anything to do with Joe ass being replace.

Lets see Pee Boy every 8 years we get a rookie in the White House, Maybe we should have an election and vote for a new General Manager and vote Joe dumb ass out of his Palace office. How dumb and childish is it to continue sucking on that 2004 tit that's all dried up.

DX there is more bad in that list than good and much of the good was more lucky than genius of the part of FAT JOE.

Pee Boy acts as if Joe was born as a GM, or as if only Joe can start from the bottom and succeed. In his mind nobody deserves a chance.

PBoy it's not my fault you can't consider anyone beyond Joe running this team and really doesn't matter what name I put out there you'll debated by saying what they haven't accomplished.

In all honesty I could have given 50 names, but because you seem to think that having already won a championship is required criteria for replacing Joe than in your small minded world no one can replace Joe. But this speak to a more larger larger picture in all seriousness of you as a person in being this close minded. Perhaps you need to grow up and stop acting like a dumb ass, I really don't believe that you're this dense and this stupid.

I wonder if your concept for hiring is okay when your kids become young adults to go out and apply for jobs after spending all that money on their education will you feel the same way in your dumb ass thinking. I highly doubt that you would find that thinking acceptable.

Seriuosly stop acting like some school girl. Joe has screwed up this team you can't deny it and he should be rightfully fired for his decision the pass 6 or 7 seasons.

FORUM - Page 40 Empty Stuckey during the month of April

Post  Sebastian Tue Apr 24, 2012 11:32 am

Pistons fans, I have to tell you that I am bit perturb and disturb with my man Stuckey's play during this the final month of the season.

I am one of the biggest Rodney Stuckey fans on this forum and I was pleased with the re-signing. As the season started, I did become a bit mystified at Stuckey's slow start to the season, during the month of December, but was greatly pleased as he begin to play much, much better during February and March.

However during this the final month of the season, Stuckey has been somewhat of a pedestrian player, outside of the Hawks (27 pts., 3 ast., 3 rbs.) on April 6 and Chicago (32 pts., 4 rbs., 3 stls.) on April 15, Stuckey hasn't done very much.

The chart, below, illustrates the lackluster play that Stuckey has demonstrated during April.

Note: Stuckey was a DNP-CD on April 3 against the Magic and he fouled out of the April 5th game versus the Wizards.

In my opinion, Stuckey needs to ball like there is no tomorrow in the finale against the Sixers on Thursday and return to training camp with the desire to play every game (next season and thereafter) like it is his last.
